Online group theory sessions (May 8 – Aug 12) are now in session in preparation for August theory exams. Private in person and online lessons in theory are also available – please inquire. This summer (2023) we are offering group classes in theory levels 6, 7 and 10 (harmony and counterpoint). Study and fulfill your RCM Theory requirements from the comfort of your own home with live weekly group classes conducted over zoom. Classes are small and openings are limited so register early!

RCM theory 6 online – a guided approach to the Celebrate Theory Level 6 Theory textbook.
Build on your knowledge gained in Level 5 with a continuation of the study of chords, scales, melody writing, music history and more. This course prepares you for the Level 6 Theory RCM exam in August 2023.
Corequisite: students need to complete the Level 6 practical examination to achieve Level 6 certification.

RCM Harmony & Counterpoint Level 10 online – a 12-week course that prepares you for the RCM written examination early August 2023.
Level 10 Harmony & Counterpoint expands on the knowledge of music harmony achieved in Level 9. Expanded harmonic vocabulary will be explored in addition to composition, musical structures (fugue, sonata, and rondo), and counterpoint.
Prerequisites: the exams for RCM Level 8 Theory and Level 9 Harmony are required before learning this course. Corequisites: students need to complete exams for Level 8 Theory, Level 9 History and Harmony, and the Level 10 practical examination to achieve Level 10 certification.
